What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crop Team Member position at RVF Ag Services LLC?
The primary function of this position is to operate and maintain the equipment used in planting and harvesting.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy and light equipment including but not limited to, tractors, trucks, pickups, skid steers, loaders, forklifts and other equipment as needed.
- Optimize and utilize the available ag technology such as GPS and precision ag equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance as recommended by the company and related manufacturers.
- Keep accurate, complete and timely records of repair work performed.
- Maintain work area, chemical storage area and equipment neat and in a condition that promotes good safety practices.
- Use and maintain all personal protective equipment recommended for each work situation.
- Be prepared to perform a variety of tasks, especially during the slow seasons
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment operation or repair preferred.
- Familiarity with farming practices, including planting, maintenance, and harvesting techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- A commitment to safety protocols and practices within an agricultural setting.
- Willingness to work extended hours during planting and harvest seasons
