Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dependable On-Call Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various client sites on an as-needed basis. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a safe, hygienic environment in commercial, residential, or industrial settings. Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of floors and surfaces.
- Conduct custodial duties in various environments, including commercial buildings, residential complexes, or industrial facilities.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to support overall facility upkeep.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities, including proper manual handling and heavy lifting practices.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred; familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and adhere to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to respond promptly to on-call requests in various environments.
