Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This is a senior-level mechanic position focused on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and complex repairs, not routine preventive maintenance.

You'll work on a fleet of 150 pieces of equipment including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, and other heavy construction equipment. The company is transitioning much of its fleet to Caterpillar equipment and utilizes modern diagnostic software to support efficient troubleshooting and repairs.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues
• Perform complex repairs including cylinders, injectors, and major component work
• Complete field service calls as needed
• Work independently while coordinating with an experienced preventive maintenance technician
• Use diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools

Compensation & Benefits

• Approximately $100,000 based on experience

Qualifications

• Experience repairing heavy construction equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, or similar equipment
• Comfortable using diagnostic software and computers
• Ability to work independently
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Basic mechanic hand tools are required. Specialty tools are provided by the company.
