Summary of Position:
RVA Hospitality is looking for an experienced front of the house General Manager! Our ideal candidate for the position is motivated, results oriented and committed to exceeding customer expectations through great food and exemplary service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct oneself in a becoming manner at all times, always being available for a call to action or to answer a question
Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
Ensuring highest quality of dining experiences though compliance and training in our mystery shop program and training
Making safety a priority
Handling all payroll issues in a timely manner and ensuring all members of staff are paid correctly
Creating items for the daily/nightly lineup to enhance staff performance and following up on these action items during the shift and post shift
Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
Supervise daily prep list completion; ordering of all products from wine, beer, liquor, food, paper products and more; daily temp log; alcohol delivery journals, payroll & labor; freezer pull, void/comp logs
Ensure staff experiences heightened sense of pleasure in work and morale
Exemplifies honesty, hospitality and sincerity at all times
Qualifications:
Be 21 years of age and have worked as a FOH manager for at least two years
Be able to communicate and understand English
Have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions.
Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system and reconcile the safe and chip cards/credit cards daily.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have the stamina to work 50 hours per week.
