About RV Depot

RV Depot is a family-owned and operated RV dealership that has served Texas families since 1990. Our Cleburne location maintains an inventory of more than 300 pre-owned travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and motorhomes. We combine a large, fast-moving operation with an environment where ownership is present, individual performance matters, and employees can make a visible impact.

Position Overview

RV Depot is seeking an organized, dependable, and knowledgeable RV Parts and Inventory Specialist to support our service and reconditioning departments.

This is not a slow-moving retail counter position. Our parts team plays a critical role in keeping technicians productive, repair orders moving, and RVs completed on schedule. The ideal candidate understands that every missing, incorrect, or delayed part can stop production.

You should be comfortable identifying RV components, working with multiple vendors, managing competing priorities, and maintaining accurate inventory in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review repair orders and technician requests to identify required parts and materials.
  • Research and identify RV parts using model numbers, serial numbers, photographs, measurements, diagrams, and vendor catalogs.
  • Source parts for multiple RV brands, ages, and floorplans.
  • Create purchase orders and place approved orders with vendors.
  • Compare price, availability, freight cost, and delivery time when selecting suppliers.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities, condition, and accuracy.
  • Label, organize, stage, and issue parts to the correct technician and repair order.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts, bin locations, order statuses, and transaction records.
  • Monitor backorders and proactively communicate delays or substitutions.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding missing, damaged, or incorrect shipments.
  • Process returns, credits, warranty parts, and defective merchandise.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels for frequently used repair and maintenance items.
  • Assist with cycle counts and periodic physical inventory.
  • Keep the parts room, receiving area, and storage locations clean and organized.
  • Work closely with technicians, service writers, purchasing personnel, and management.
  • Help prevent production delays by identifying parts needs early and following orders through completion.

Parts and Systems You May Work With

  • Air conditioners, furnaces, water heaters, refrigerators, and other RV appliances
  • Plumbing fixtures, pumps, valves, tanks, and fittings
  • Electrical components, converters, batteries, lighting, and wiring supplies
  • Slide-out, leveling, awning, and landing-gear components
  • Roof vents, windows, doors, locks, seals, and exterior hardware
  • Brakes, bearings, suspension, axles, jacks, and towing components
  • LP-gas regulators, hoses, fittings, and related equipment
  • Interior hardware, cabinetry components, flooring, and trim
  • General repair supplies, sealants, adhesives, fasteners, and shop consumables

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in RV, automotive, powersports, marine, heavy-equipment, appliance, or industrial parts is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of RV systems and components is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read repair orders and match parts to specific jobs.
  • Strong computer, data-entry, and internet research skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage several open orders without losing track of deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with technicians and other departments.
  • Dependable attendance and a consistent sense of urgency.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work on your feet as needed.

What Success Looks Like

A successful RV Parts Specialist:

  • Supplies technicians with the correct parts when they are needed.

  • Balances cost control with speed, quality, and availability.
  • Keeps the parts department clean, secure, and easy to navigate.
  • Communicates clearly and takes ownership from the initial request through final delivery.
