Job Description:
The Vacation Relief Machine Operator will plan, coordinate, and carry out the full production run on a specific machine. Maintains only a high-quality output and completely cleans the machine after finished.
Responsibilities:
· Sanitizes and perform startup of machine.
· Decides on the most productive and feasible production order.
· Effectively runs all products in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner.
· Frequently checks end products to make sure they are within given standards.
· Maintains a clean and sanitary work area. Cleans machine and work area when finished production run.
· Assumes responsibility for integrity of the package (appropriate labeling and coding).
· Performs miscellaneous tasks and assist others as needed.
· Responsible for food safety as well as product quality as presented during GMP training, HACCP training, SQF training and Chemical/Sanitation training.
· Responsible for Production records and Quality records as assigned.
· Other duties as assigned.

· Ability to work flexible hours / days to support business hours and needs.
· Ability to multitask, problem solve, accomplish tasks in allotted time and effectively work with others.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· Must be able to grasp, push, reach, or stoop/kneel/crouch.
· Frequently required to stand and walk.
· Lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs. and/or drag up to 200lbs.
· Must be able to walk up a flight of stairs.
· Lift and carry up to 55 pounds
· Must be able to climb ladder to reach top of machine, be able to work with cleaning chemicals.
· Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Education and Experience
- No specific experience/education required; GED preferred
- Ability to work safely around power equipment and at elevated heights (if in crane).
- Ability to pass certification on forklift.
