Duties

• Monitor inmate activities and conduct regular visual inspections of the facility to ensure safety and compliance.
• Enforce rules and regulations within the correctional environment, responding swiftly to disturbances or emergencies.
• Manage inmate movement and oversee daily routines, including meal distribution, recreation, and work assignments.
• Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations and maintain order among inmates and staff.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation accurately reflecting daily activities and incidents.
• Administer first aid or CPR when necessary, providing immediate assistance in emergency situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must pass Basic Reading/Writing, Drug, Integrity and background tests
• Must be a United States Citizen (Not work permit)
• Must successfully complete Basic Correction Officer Training
• Must adhere to uniform, dress and grooming policies
