The Behavioral Health Clinician is responsible for providing clinical mental health services and/or substance abuse to all customer groups affected by illness/disability often including lifestyle adjustment difficulties. Understands utilization criteria and case management principles in a health care setting, as well as relevant community resources, insurance, regulatory, and legal system knowledge.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related Human Services field. (Required for level I)
• Master's degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or other Human Services field. (Required for Ievel II/III)

Minimum Work Experience

• Two years of experience in medical crisis intervention and knowledge of community resources or related experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience a plus.
• Experience in individual and family therapy.
• Five years' experience working in healthcare setting.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• BLS Certification through American Heart Association
• Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification.
• Apprentice Addiction Professional (AAP) Certification may be required dependent on job assignment*
• LCMHC and/or LADC licensure. (required for level III)

• Must obtain within 3 months of hire.

• Willingness and ability to oversee activities and provide clinical supervision of others.

Pay Range:

BHC I: $52,000 - $82,950

BHC II: $57,300 - $91,600

BHC III: $60,300 - $96,250
