RUTLAND CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS - ENGLISH TEACHER - RUTLAND HIGH SCHOOL
Rutland High School seeks a dynamic and energetic individual to teach English at the high school level. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the Common Core State Standards, ready to implement them, and able to teach a wide range of coursework. Our English curriculum is an integral component of Rutland High School’s Global Studies concentration. The ideal candidate will be certified to teach in Vermont and will have a strong background in content and proven engagement strategies, such as Project-Based Learning. Desired is a background in Proficiency-Based Learning and instructional strategies that support brain-based and social-emotional learning. Very importantly, we seek an individual who can collaborate with colleagues and is willing to actively participate in a professional learning community to support the education of all students.
The successful candidate will hold (or be able to obtain) a 7-12 level license in Vermont. A master’s degree is preferred.
