Marketing & Events Coordinator
Tails of Hope – Rutland County’s Humane Society | Pittsford, VT
Are you a creative storyteller who wants your work to change lives? Tails of Hope, Rutland County’s no-kill humane society, is starting an exciting new chapter, and we’re looking for a high-energy Marketing & Events Coordinator to grow with us.
This role is the creative voice of our shelter. You’ll run our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels and manage our WordPress website. You’ll capture the photos and videos that help our animals find forever homes. You’ll also plan and promote our signature events, including the Duck Derby, the Trails for Tails 5K & Fun Run, appreciation events and more. Over the next few years, you’ll help tell the story of our capital campaign for a new shelter.
You’ll report to the Executive Director and work closely with our Development Coordinator and Donor Relations Coordinator. You’ll also be cross-trained as an Adoption Counselor, so you’ll understand the full adoption process and can tell every story well.
What we’re looking for:
- At least 3 years managing social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
- Skill with Adobe InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Express
- Excellent photography skills and an artistic eye
- WordPress experience and strong Microsoft 365 skills, including SharePoint and Teams
- A positive, passionate person who sees this work as a way of life, not just a job
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays and some evenings and weekends for events.
