Position Responsibilities
- Teach Physical Education and Health courses for students in grades K-12
- Develop engaging lesson plans aligned to Iowa Core standards
- Promote physical fitness, wellness, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
- Utilize effective classroom management and instructional strategies
- Collaborate with staff, administration, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate student progress
Qualifications
- Valid Iowa teaching license with appropriate endorsements
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Coaching endorsements and experience are preferred but not required
