The Veterinary Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and supports daily hospital operations. Practical knowledge of animal‑hospital procedures can be learned on the job. This role requires excellent people skills, a friendly and outgoing demeanor, strong teamwork, and flexibility to assist with additional shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer client inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages
- Greet clients, check patients in and out, and process invoices
- Dispense medications and prescriptions as directed
- Maintain accurate electronic and written medical records
- Receive and post payments; complete end‑of‑day transaction reports
- Provide patient updates, reminders, and follow‑up communication
- Monitor hospital email, fax, and phone messages
- Expedite prescription refill and appointment requests
- Open and close the practice; maintain a clean, organized waiting area

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- veterinary receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
