Core Responsibilities
The Deputy Clerk - Circuit Court supports the Circuit Court Clerk by helping ensure accurate, timely, and impartial court operations in accordance with Tennessee statutes, local circuit court rules, and the U.S. Constitution.
Key responsibilities include maintaining court records with strong data-entry accuracy; processing filings and other case documents; updating and tracking cases through an electronic case management system to support case flow management; assisting the public and justice partners with clear, professional communication; and preparing routine correspondence and reports using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). You will also be responsible for a cash bag, receipting payments, and assisting driver's with their license requirements.
Required knowledge and skills:
- Working knowledge of court policies, procedures, and relevant legal requirements
