We are an AAHA accredited small animal general practice providing high level medicine by incorporating top notch imaging, diagnostics, surgery, therepeutic laser, acupuncture, and in house specialty consults, as well as boarding and daycare services. As the oldest veterinary practice in Dallas we have both a well-established and growing client base.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Veterinary Technician in Dallas, near Fair Park. You will be responsible for patient care, collecting and running or preparing diagnostic samples, assisting with client communication, upholding AAHA standards, anesthesiology, dentistry, collaborating with kennel staff on care for boarding and daycare patients. Most importantly you will be encouraged to both learn from and teach your colleagues as we value growth and team work to maintain an exceptional work culture.
Qualifications
LVT preferred but alternative combinations of experience and education/training will be considered. Important attributes for success at RVH include excellent communication skills, team-player mindset, ability to multi-task, passion for patient care, and a helpful attitude. Technical skills desired include anesthesia administration and monitoring, surgical prep. and assistance, dental cleaning and radiology, veinipunture/catheterization, inpatient care and monitoring, and computer literacy (experience with or willingness to learn Cornerstone).
Compensation & Benefits
We offer an excellent benefit package including health, dental, and vision, uniforms, paid vacation, CE time and budget, 401K, and a generous pet discount. Starting salary range is $16.00 - $20.00 per hour and will be based upon experience and LVT status.
Schedule details
We are looking to fill a closing shift which includes 4 week day shifts from 9:30am - 6:30pm with 1 hour lunch break as well as rotating Saturday shifts.
