What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Ruth's Homes LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of provider
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the provider
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care techniques
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
