JOB TITLE: PARAPRO  6.88 hrs/day M-Th

REPORTS TO: Principal/Assigned Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Works in the classroom with students under direct supervision of the teacher.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assists in tutoring small groups of students under the direction of the teacher.
2. Provides positive reinforcement for students.
3. Assists the teacher in maintaining proper classroom control.
4. Escorts students to the office upon request.
5. Supervises students during lunch and recesses.
6. Remains punctual and works assigned schedule.
7. Assists in special class presentations, field trips, and activities as requested.
8. Demonstrates confidential, professional, and personable demeanor.
9. Handles routine clerical work as assigned.
10. Prepares instructional materials as requested by the teacher.
11. Follows and enforces school and District regulations and policies.
12. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
