What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Services?
The Ruth and Normal Rales Jewish Family Services is seeking a Physical Therapist for the Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy and Resource Center who will perform various duties including, but not limited to, providing quality/ethical clinical services, maintaining a positive attitude towards others, developing/maintaining relationships with clients, families and other professionals, and providing direct physical therapy services to children at the Center (individual and group), as well as at some school locations. The Therapist will work with children (0-22 yrs.) with a variety of special needs diagnoses/disorders, utilizing innovative therapy approaches including co-treatments and collaborating with other professionals (such as SLP’s, OT’s, BCBA’s, and clinical when applicable) to help children meet their full potential.
Therapists will be engaged in a multidisciplinary team approach across disciplines, and will be responsible for maintaining the required paperwork in spreadsheets and in our documentation systems. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
This position is currently designated as a hybrid. Full time Employees are required to be physically present in the office for a minimum of three days per week and may work remotely for two days from an authorized remote work location, in accordance with JFS hybrid work policy. JFS reserves the right to cancel, rescind or suspend employee hybrid work privileges at any time, for any reason or for no reason.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in related discipline.
- Certification and state licensure as a Physical Therapist in good standing.
- Skilled in writing reports, treatment plans, and establishing goals
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children with disabilities and special needs.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
- Initiative and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills with clients, families, and team members.
