Position Overview
Rutgers Men’s Club Soccer is seeking a dedicated Head Coach to lead the Scarlet team. This role is designed for a highly motivated professional who can foster a competitive environment while maintaining the high standards of a premier collegiate club program.
The Head Coach will be responsible for the technical and tactical development of the squad, ensuring both individual player growth and collective team success.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Design and execute comprehensive training curricula focused on tactical awareness, technical proficiency, and physical conditioning.
- Match Day Management: Direct all aspects of competitive fixtures, including pre-match preparation, in-game adjustments, and post-match analysis.
- Player Development: Provide consistent, constructive performance evaluations to facilitate athlete progression and maintain team standards.
- Administrative Coordination: Liaise with team representatives to oversee scheduling, travel logistics, and strict adherence to league and university compliance regulations.
- Culture & Discipline: Cultivate a professional team culture rooted in sportsmanship, discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous coaching experience at the collegiate, academy, or high-level club level is highly preferred.
- Commitment: Ability to attend all scheduled training sessions (evenings 2x weekly) and ~2 matches per weekend throughout the duration of the competitive season. The regular season runs from early September to late October (10 games). With qualification, the Regional and National tournaments follow the regular season up through the end of November.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage diverse personalities and uphold program-wide disciplinary standards.
Compensation
- $2,500 per year
