Field Manager

Position Overview

Rusty’s Window Cleaning, a division of Rusty’s Group LLC, is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Managerto join our Michigan team.

This supervisory role oversees daily field operations and ensures that every project meets our company’s high standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The Field Manager reports directly to the Michigan Operations Manager and will oversee multiple service lines — including window cleaning, gutter cleaning, skylight cleaning, solar panel cleaning, and holiday light installation through our sister division, Rusty’s Holiday Lights.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, working outdoors, and taking pride in delivering top-quality service to our customers.

Compensation

$20-25 per hour (DOE)
Full-time / Year-round employment
Company vehicle provided during work hours

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays as needed (with notice)
• Additional hours may be required during peak seasons (especially October–December for holiday lighting)

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise and support field technicians across all service areas (window cleaning, gutter cleaning, skylight cleaning, and solar panel cleaning)
• Ensure all jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
• Conduct daily team meetings, safety briefings, and on-site quality inspections
• Collaborate with the Michigan Operations Manager on scheduling, routing, and project planning
• Provide hands-on training for new technicians on equipment, ladder safety, and customer service practices
• Maintain accurate job records, notes, and photos using our job management system (Jobber)
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained, clean, and organized
• Communicate professionally with customers and resolve any issues promptly
• Oversee and assist with holiday light installation and takedown projects during the winter season
• Enforce company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check (we enter customer homes and businesses)
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or crew lead position (window cleaning, exterior maintenance, or related field preferred)
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders up to 24 ft, and work comfortably outdoors
• Ability to lead by example and perform hands-on work alongside the team
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience managing exterior service crews (window, gutter, or pressure washing)
• Experience using Jobber or similar field management software
• Familiarity with water-fed pole systems, squeegee techniques, and safety harnesses
• Mechanical aptitude for maintaining small tools and cleaning systems
