We are seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial weighing systems throughout New Mexico and surrounding areas. You'll work with equipment used in manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, food processing, recycling, medical facilities, and many other industries.
No two days are the same. You'll travel to customer locations, diagnose equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance and repairs, complete service documentation, and represent our company with professionalism. You'll receive hands-on training from experienced technicians while developing valuable technical skills in an industry that continues to grow.
What You'll Do
- Travel to customer locations throughout New Mexico
- Inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial scales
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Assist with installation and setup of weighing systems
- Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical problems
- Complete electronic service reports and documentation
- Provide professional customer service while working independently
- Participate in overnight travel when required. (hotel and per diem paid by the company)
What We're Looking For
- Active CDL Class B (CDL Class A accepted)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds
- Travel throughout New Mexico in company vehicles, including frequent overnight stays. All work-related travel, fuel, hotels, and per diem are provided by the company.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug testing, and criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, heavy equipment, diesel, or field service work
- Experience using a multimeter or basic electrical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with computers, software installation, or RS232/network communications is a plus
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 8 hour shifts with overtime opportunities
- Weekend on-call rotation
