Job Responsibilities
- Bussers: clearing and resetting tables- this includes wiping down tables and chairs and sweeping around the tables.
- Be attentive during meal service and scan the room for tables that need to be cleared. They should also make sure tables are ready for new guests.
- Food runners, also known as service assistants or service expediters, have many duties that support the waitstaff and ensure customers receive their food in a timely and efficient manner. Some of their responsibilities include: Communicating with staff- Food runners communicate with kitchen staff to explain orders and special requests, and with waitstaff to determine their needs.
- Delivering food- quickly and accurately deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables.
- Assisting servers- help servers properly serve food and drinks.
- Maintaining Cleanliness- keep the dining area tidy and welcoming. This includes washing menus and highchairs.
- Maintaining Cleanliness- keep expo area clean and organized.
