About the Position

The AM Supervisor at Wild Sage sets the tone for gracious, efficient morning service. As both a floor leader and working server, you’ll balance oversight and hands-on hospitality — guiding the team, managing pacing, and personally delivering polished service to your own section of tables. You embody calm confidence, ensuring breakfast unfolds seamlessly for every guest while maintaining the refinement, consistency, and warmth that define Wild Sage.

Qualifications and Skills

You’re a natural leader with a guest-first mindset and a strong sense of organization. You communicate clearly, delegate thoughtfully, and know how to anticipate the flow of service. You’re equally comfortable expediting food, managing the floor, or pouring coffee at your own table. Familiarity with fine-dining breakfast or hotel operations is strongly preferred. You take pride in leading by example — through poise, precision, and a genuine care for both guests and team.

Core Responsibilities

• Service Leadership & Oversight:
  Lead the AM team through setup, service, and close-down; manage pacing, table assignments, and guest flow to ensure a calm, elevated experience.
• Active Table Service:
  Take and manage your own section of tables, providing warm, professional service — from greeting and menu guidance to coursing and check presentation.
• Guest Experience & Problem Solving:
  Engage with guests throughout service, ensuring satisfaction, resolving issues promptly, and personalizing each experience with thoughtful touches.
• Coordination with Culinary & Front Desk:
  Communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, and front desk regarding timing, allergies, room charges, and special requests.
• Training & Support:
  Coach and support servers, runners, and bussers in real time — reinforcing standards for marking, pacing, and guest engagement.
• Setup & Stocking:
  Oversee morning mise en place: coffee brewing, juice prep, linens, condiments, and station organization to Wild Sage standards.
• Cleanliness & Organization:
  Maintain an immaculate dining room and service stations; enforce cleanliness, safety, and breakage policies.
• Reporting & Communication:
  Relay guest feedback, maintenance needs, and inventory notes to management; ensure smooth handoff to PM leadership.
• Close-Down & Reset:
  Ensure the dining room, server stations, and beverage areas are fully reset and stocked for the next service.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory or lead server experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to balance floor management with active table service
• Proficiency with POS systems and breakfast service flow
• High attention to detail, poise, and guest engagement
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays (full-time)
• Food Handler certification (and alcohol service permit where applicable) preferred
