What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reservations Specialist/Tour Guide position at Rusty Anchor Boat Tours?

We are looking for a Reservations Specialist to double as a Tour Guide.
Reservation Specialists meet, greet and sell our boat tours to potential customers via the phone and in person. Our office is on the 4th Ave Dock in Mount Dora, FL. We use a computer-based reservation system called FareHarbor so computer skills are needed however training is provided.
Tour Guides ride on our boats when necessary. They provide narration of the history of the area and point out wildlife to our customers. Training on the history of the area is provided. Wildlife identification background is a plus but can also be learned on the job.
Rusty Anchor Mount Dora has been conducting eco tours in Lake County, FL for over 35 years. Our tour boats go out 7 days/week, 365 days/year on the beautiful Lake Dora and Dora Canal. We have a true appreciation for the history, flora and fauna of this area and love passing that information on to our customers. Job Duties:
- Answer incoming calls
- Book reservations for phone and walk-up customers
- Record customer information in our booking engine
- Engage with co-workers and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Narration of the history, flora and fauna (a script is provided)
- Get on and off the boats, handle the lines for launching and returning to the dock
- Paid training is provided
