Overview
Looking for a person to work with contractors getting them solid hardwood flooring that we stock. This position is inside sales and outside sales must have a solid hardwood background and be organized to do sales. MUST have solid hardwood flooring experience. Ability to identify hardwood flooring species.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients through inside and outside sales efforts to understand their flooring needs and preferences
- Conduct sales on quickbooks
- Be able to send price lists and what not on crm
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and deal closing to ensure mutually beneficial agreements while upselling premium hardwood options
- Build strong customer relationships by providing personalized service, follow-up support, and expert advice on maintenance and flooring care
- Maintain comprehensive records of client interactions using CRM systems and manage inside sales transactions efficiently through POS systems
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales within the construction, renovation, or interior design industries as well as solid hardwood flooring.
- Strong knowledge of hardwood flooring products
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on deal closing and upselling high-end products
- Exceptional communication skills for client consultation, account management, and customer service excellence
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and detailed project documentation
- Basic math skills for pricing calculations, retail math applications, and budgeting support
