dollar, NYSE-listed global leader in engineered solutions for the aerospace and
transportation sectors. Headquartered in Pittsburgh and with over $5B in
annual revenue and a massive global footprint, they offer the stability of a
market leader combined with a sophisticated corporate tax environment.
We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join a
high-performing Corporate Tax Department. This role is primarily focused on
federal tax compliance and tax accounting, while also providing exposure to
state and international tax matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax
professional coming out of public accounting or a large corporate environment
who wants to work on complex, high-level assignments including M&A analysis
and internal restructurings.
Key Responsibilities
- Federal
Compliance: Lead the accurate and timely preparation of domestic
portions of the consolidated U.S. income tax return.
- Data
Management: Review tax packages and coordinate data flows into tax
software systems.
- Tax
Accounting: Assist with federal tax accounting, quarterly taxable
income calculations for cash tax payments, and tax entries.
- Special
Projects: Support tax management with high-impact assignments,
including basis studies, gain/loss calculations, and analysis of mergers,
acquisitions, and internal restructurings.
- Regulatory
Oversight: Ensure strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
and other regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional
Collaboration: Partner with the SEC Reporting group and interact with
various finance departments.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate federal tax return preparation/review and accounting for income taxes (ASC 740).
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
Background: Experience within a large multinational corporation or a "Big 4/National" accounting firm.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Corptax software.
Credentials: CPA or Master’s in Taxation is highly preferred (or currently enrolled).
Scope: Prior exposure to State and International tax compliance/provisions is a significant plus.
Soft Skills: A self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently; excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
