Title: Quality Manager
Shift: First Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 (Commensurate with experience) plus bonus potential
Quality Manager Role:
The Quality Manager is responsible for providing the internal structure and technical foundation for our client's quality management system. This role exists to move the facility beyond basic ISO certification by implementing robust quality tools, root cause analysis, and data-driven process controls.
Quality Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee the internal quality management system and maintain ISO 9000 certification standards
- Develop and implement robust internal structures for SPC and other quality tools
- Lead the creation and maintenance of PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action processes to improve internal quality performance
- Manage the laboratory environment and ensure accurate issuance of COAs for customers
- Partner closely with the New Product Development (NPD) and Technical teams for product launches
- Supervise and mentor the Quality Assurance Technicians and Quality Engineers
- Bridge the gap between R&D and manufacturing to ensure smooth product handoffs
- Facilitate data collection and analysis to support continuous improvement
- Serve as the primary internal contact for quality standards and manufacturing excellence
Quality Manager Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Plant Manager. Direct reports include one Process Quality Engineer and two Quality Assurance Technicians.
About You:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field
- Demonstrate strong technical aptitude and mastery of quality tools
- Maintain previous experience in a manufacturing quality leadership role
- Exhibit expertise in Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions, and PFMEA
- Possess the ability to build a quality foundation from "bare bones" to a robust system
- Show proficiency in managing laboratory environments and documentation control
- Display strong interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder partnerships
- Maintain a focus on technical details over simply years of tenure
- Reside within or are willing to commute to the Marietta, OH area
