Title: Lean Continuous Improvement Leader
Shift: First Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 (Commensurate with experience) plus bonus potential
Lean Continuous Improvement Leader Role:
Our client is seeking a facilitator of change to establish operational excellence by deploying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles throughout the organization. This role exists to drive transformational advancements in performance by identifying inefficiencies and leading projects that reduce waste and build long-term value.
Lean Continuous Improvement Leader Responsibilities:
- Identify targeted opportunities to support the client’s business objectives through detailed action plans
- Create a continuous improvement culture that facilitates best practices and process standardization
- Train and coach employees on Lean principles, tools, and Six Sigma problem-solving techniques
- Facilitate the mitigation of major cost-of-quality issues through defect identification and monitoring
- Implement processes to improve business KPIs through analysis and visual management systems
- Lead Kaizen events and value stream mapping exercises to drive operational performance
- Ensure the adoption of new methodologies by focusing on change management and employee buy-in
- Track improvements and cost benefits to ensure long-term sustainability
- Establish a roadmap for manufacturing excellence within a traditional manufacturing environment
- Provide structure and guidance for indirect teams to meet organizational deliverables
Lean Continuous Improvement Leader Reporting Relationships:
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
About You:
- Hold a BS degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Possess a Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Maintain 10 years of operations experience with 5 years leading change initiatives
- Demonstrate a proven track record of building CI programs rather than just sustaining existing ones
- Exhibit strong facilitation skills with the ability to pull diverse teams together
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of Kaizen, 5S, Pull Systems, Kanban, and SMED
- Show experience in change management within a manufacturing setting
- Possess the technical aptitude to understand traditional manufacturing processes
- Display a career path that shows growth and lived experience through a Lean journey
- Reside within or are willing to commute to the Marietta, OH area
