Russo Corporation is hiring a Site Safety Coordinator to support our team in Canton, MS. In this role you will be responsible for implementing, administering, maintaining and coordinating all Russo safety policies and programs for the assigned project.
Job Requirements
- Work with project team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, standards, policies, and/or procedures.
- Provides technical expertise establishing techniques and procedures for the elimination or control of unsafe behaviors, environments, and hazards.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 standards
- Provides daily observations of on-site safety practices.
- Performs safety meetings and training.
- Conducts inspections of Russo project site.
- Conduct job hazard analyses of project operations
- Provide technical assistance with the investigation of accidents, incidents, injuries, and/or illnesses.
- Foster a team environment when advising on needed corrections
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy, civil construction
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification
- First aid and CPR trained
- Preferred Bilingual (Spanish and English)
