What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Mechanic position at Russo Power Equipment?
Reports to: Service Supervisor Position Summary: The main responsibility of the Mechanic within the Service Division is to efficiently complete the required service/maintenance noted on a work order so that the customer may use their equipment in full working order in a timely manner. Responsibilities/Duties: Troubleshoot issues on equipment brought in by customers, landscaping equipment, snow removal equipment, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, small farm equipment, etc. Competently and quickly diagnose equipment issues and problems daily Create estimates for equipment including all necessary parts and laborWork closely with service counter staff and parts staff Develop relationships with current customers and build relationships with new customersOffer preventative maintenance suggestions for equipment that is in for serviceWork within guidelines presented by manufactures regarding warranty serviceBuild new products as neededMaintain safe work environment by performing housekeeping dutiesOther tasks as defined by management Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of how to safely use shop tools and equipmentBilingual: English/Spanish is a plusGood organizational skillsStrong attention to details and ability to handle multiple tasksExcellent communication and customer service skillsGood mechanical aptitudeAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.
