Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Landscape Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. Full-Time
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Diagnose and repair small engine (2-stroke and 4-stroke)
- Perform routine maintenance and tune-ups
- Order and install replacement parts
- Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and safe working conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service and explain repairs clearly
- Uphold a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the mechanic team.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of small engine repair, 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, and power equipment systems (Certification a plus)
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Comfortable using a variety of shop tools, diagnostic software, and repair manuals.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work orders efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as par of a team
Credentials and Experience:
- Prior experience as a Service Mechanic, Equipment Technician, or similar role preferred.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in small engine repair or related field
- Forklift operation experience is a plus – certification provided
Physical Demands
- Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
- Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work
- May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time
- May be required to look at the computer screen for long periods of time
