Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Full Time Staffing Accountant to join our team at Russellville Hospital. Key Job Functions
- · Preparation of financial statements and data
- · Prepares and post required journal entries for General Ledger on a monthly basis
- · Coordinates collection, preparation, and entry of statistical data on a monthly basis
- · Coordinates financial reporting of clinics and home health agencies
- · Reconciles all bank accounts
- · Assists in assuring company-wide compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal audit requirements
- · Reconciles and prepares balance sheet accounts review on a monthly basis (PCR)
- · Serves as liaison with consultants on cost report preparation and auditors on annual audit as required
- · Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
- · Demonstrates adherence to policies in reporting occurrences of medical/healthcare errors and actions taken to improve patient safety, both in response to actual occurrences and proactive findings, as outlined in the Patient Safety Plan
- · Uses appropriate etiquette when receiving, placing, and transferring phone calls
- · Listens well, demonstrating a positive attitude
- · Addresses patients, visitors, co-workers, and physicians in a pleasant and respectful manner, displaying courteous behavior at all times
- · Actively participates in hospital activities such as error reporting and focused improvement activities
- · Handles any patient concerns or issues promptly and with a professional and courteous manner
- · Maintains a professional image demonstrated by grooming, uniform choices, and communication skills
- · Responds appropriately to suggestions and counseling, conveying a willingness to work well with others
Requirements:
- Education- Requires bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Experience- Requires two to three years of work experience. Experience in business and finance. Hospital accounting preferred.
