How You’ll Contribute
The Preconstruction Engineer will be responsible for supporting the preconstruction team including take-offs, estimate preparation, subcontractor outreach, and data management while being actively mentored and developed by senior team members.
Essential Duties
- Perform quantity take-offs under supervision of Preconstruction Managers and Estimators.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets and bid packages.
- Conduct subcontractor outreach and collect bid information.
- Support design review, constructability analysis and data tracking.
- Participate in client and design team meetings as appropriate.
- Learn company systems, processes and standards through hands-on training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in construction, estimating or internships.
- Strong desire to learn and build a career in preconstruction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to estimating software a plus.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Excellent organizational skills are important.
