Position Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the automotive industry to support product design and development activities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling, fixture design, and chassis-related components.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive mechanical components and assemblies.
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using CAD software.
- Design, modify, and validate manufacturing and assembly fixtures.
- Support chassis product design, development, and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project engineering.
- Participate in design reviews and implement engineering changes as required.
- Ensure designs meet performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within the automotive industry.
- Strong hands-on proficiency with SolidWorks (mandatory).
- Experience in chassis component design and fixture design.
- Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of CATIA and/or Siemens NX (UG).
- Experience with automotive product development processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly environments.
