Maintenance Mechanic – Industrial Equipment Repair

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and reliability of industrial manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, mechanical system repair, equipment troubleshooting, and continuous operational support to maximize production uptime and equipment performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong industrial maintenance experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and the ability to work independently in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems
• Diagnose equipment issues using testing instruments and precision measuring tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, layouts, and technical drawings
• Disassemble, repair, replace, and reassemble defective equipment components
• Fabricate and modify parts using shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and welding equipment
• Install, maintain, and adjust machinery and mechanical systems
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document maintenance activities and equipment history
• Support equipment reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain inventory levels for maintenance parts and supplies
• Communicate equipment issues, corrective actions, and repair updates to operations and maintenance teams
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Assist with training and mentoring maintenance personnel and apprentices as needed

Required Qualifications

• Journeyman certification, technical degree/certification with relevant experience, OR 10 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Strong experience performing complex mechanical maintenance in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and shop tools
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with computerized maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Ability to work safely in an industrial production environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or automated production facilities
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Experience supporting conveyor systems and production machinery
• Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Experience mentoring junior mechanics or apprentices
