About the Opportunity

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in building a career in financial services? Russell Tobin is hiring a Financial Analyst to support one of our leading financial services clients.

In this role, you’ll support Gain & Loss operations by maintaining cost basis records, providing reporting support, resolving account inquiries, and ensuring accurate documentation for customer accounts. You’ll work with internal teams to research discrepancies, complete account maintenance activities, and provide solutions related to cost basis reporting and regulatory requirements.

📍 Location: South Jordan, UT

💰 Pay Range: $22.00 - $23.00/hour

📅 Contract Opportunity with potential for permanent employment

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update cost basis records for Wealth Management customer accounts

• Support Gain/Loss reporting and account maintenance activities

• Research and resolve branch inquiries related to Gain/Loss topics, 1099-B reporting, and cost basis questions

• Perform manual adjustments and reconciliations to resolve discrepancies

• Analyze account information and provide accurate resolutions to operational requests

• Collaborate with internal teams to address issues and answer policy-related questions

• Manage multiple priorities while meeting operational deadlines and quality standards

• Follow company policies, process controls, and information security requirements

Qualifications

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field

✅ Previous experience in financial services, banking, operations, or related analytical roles preferred

✅ Understanding of general accounting principles and financial industry processes

✅ Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access

✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

✅ Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams

✅ Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality

✅ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
