About the Job
Russell Tobin is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join a fast-paced financial services organization. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who thrive in both individual contributor and leadership capacities while overseeing critical accounting operations, cash management activities, and a high-performing Order-to-Cash team.

Key Responsibilities
β’ Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including oversight of general ledger accounting activities
β’ Oversee cash management operations, including daily cash reconciliations and disbursement processing
β’ Lead and develop a six-person Order-to-Cash team responsible for managing client trust accounts and related financial transactions
β’ Ensure the timely and accurate reconciliation of approximately 120 client trust bank accounts on a daily basis
β’ Validate cash receipts, disbursements, account balances, and proper accounting treatment of client funds
β’ Calculate and validate client fees based on account activity and contractual requirements
β’ Establish, maintain, and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance, accuracy, and safeguarding of client assets
β’ Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and operational efficiencies across accounting and cash management functions
β’ Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve reconciliation discrepancies and improve financial processes
β’ Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
β’ Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to trust account management
β’ Prepare and analyze financial reports, reconciliations, and management reporting
β’ Support internal and external audits through documentation, analysis, and auditor communications
Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
β’ 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
β’ Experience managing general ledger accounting, cash reconciliations, and disbursement processes
β’ Proven success leading and developing accounting or finance teams
β’ Strong understanding of internal controls, reconciliation processes, and financial operations
β’ Experience working in high-volume bank account reconciliation environments
β’ Proficiency with NetSuite ERP required
β’ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
