Technical Enablement Trainer – AI & Developer Products
Location(s): San Francisco, CA or New York, NY
Openings: 3 total — 2 in San Francisco and 1 in New York City
Contract: 12-month W2 contract
Pay: $170–$185/hour depending on experience
Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading AI research and technology company to hire experienced Technical Enablement Trainers to support a high-impact technical onboarding and enablement program.
This is a highly visible, delivery-focused role for someone who excels at teaching complex technical concepts to live audiences. You will serve as a dedicated instructor across multiple technical learning paths, delivering instructor-led sessions, facilitating hands-on labs, troubleshooting technical issues in real time, and creating an exceptional classroom experience.
Curriculum and content will be owned by dedicated program teams; your focus will be on instruction, facilitation, learner engagement, and technical delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver live technical training sessions in both in-person and hybrid environments across multiple learning paths, including developer, administrator, architecture, and associate-level audiences
- Lead hands-on technical labs and exercises and help learners troubleshoot issues during sessions
- Teach API, AI product, and developer-oriented concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
- Partner with curriculum owners to conduct dry runs ahead of each cohort and refine session delivery
- Adjust pacing, explanations, and facilitation style in real time based on learner needs
- Manage questions and technical discussions while maintaining an engaging and productive classroom environment
- Gather learner feedback, survey insights, and recurring questions and relay them to program and curriculum owners
- Support day-of cohort logistics and operations in partnership with the broader enablement team
- Travel regularly to support scheduled cohort weeks
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a technical instructor, technical trainer, developer educator, solutions engineer, teaching-focused engineer, or similar technical enablement professional
- Strong experience delivering live, instructor-led technical training
- Ability to explain APIs, software products, and technical workflows clearly to mixed technical audiences
- Exceptional live facilitation skills with the ability to confidently lead a room, handle unexpected questions, and adapt delivery in real time
- Comfortable facilitating hands-on technical labs and troubleshooting learner issues
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly for cohort delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on familiarity with AI, generative AI, or large language model products
- Experience teaching API-based products, developer platforms, or other technical SaaS solutions
- Experience enabling GTM, sales engineering, solutions consulting, or other customer-facing technical audiences
- Background in instructional design, learning and development, or technical curriculum development
- Experience working in fast-moving technology or software environments
