Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Operating and maintaining machinery, equipment, and tools in a safe and proficient manner according to standards, guidelines, and instructions.
- Setting up equipment, observing process and activity in area or on line, ensuring product meets specifications per RSC requirements.
- Performing maintenance as required, including reading scales, rules, tapes, and thermometers.
- Reading and understanding quality specifications established by RSC for each product, recognizing deviations from those specifications.
- Assisting, training, directing, and monitoring other employees of area, line, or team as directed by supervisor.
- Ensuring SOP 222 is complete prior to start of shift, and then hourly.
- Monitoring candy weight, weight, quality, and production rates.
- Ensuring supplies are available for production.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the machine.
- Communicating any issues with the machine to the supervisor.
- Receiving, storing, securing, maintaining, loading, and delivering product (raw and finished) and materials as required by the area, line, or team.
- Repeated bending, lifting, stooping, and climbing up and down steps.
- Understanding and completing paperwork accurately, maintaining good record keeping ability.
- Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines to ensure product quality and uphold food safety standards.
- Identifying and addressing potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities, maintaining proactive communication with supervisors.
- Documenting food safety and quality procedures, maintaining detailed records of monitoring, verification, and corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possess basic math skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand on hard surfaces for the duration of shift.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
