Position Summary
The Logistics Supervisor ensures the seamless flow of logistics operations by serving as a central point of communication and coordination of shipping and receiving. This role helps maintain efficiency, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction across all logistics functions.
This position is an entry-level supervisory role that includes responsibility for overseeing a team of direct reports. This is a hybrid role that will be remote 3 days per week, and 2 days per week on-site at our Corporate Headquarters or our Mercer Plant Logistics Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates the utilization of equipment and communication for outbound materials from various locations.
- Ensures that all Corporate and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Monitors driver compliance with all applicable FMCSA regulations.
- Creates directions and maps of delivery location, as well as delivery time with customer contact information to be given to the driver.
- Creates outbound and inbound loading schedule for assigned plants.
- Obtains required oversized permits for the Construction Division, as needed.
- Communicates and reports all incidents according to corporate policy.
- Supports training and development pertaining to FMCSA rules and regulations.
- Collaborates on departmental projects assigned by the Logistics Director.
- Performs other projects and responsibilities that may be added at the company’s discretion.
Skills and Education
Required
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in dispatching
- Experience with electronic board recording systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
- Ability to present FMCSA & ELD training programs
Preferred
- College degree in related field
- Prior management experience in a trucking or transportation company

Work Environment
Work setting is a mixture of office, operational and home environments and may involve potentially hazardous conditions within plant and chemical usage and exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, gases and other substances used in a construction environment.
