Job Summary
Provides professional cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing and care through the assessment, treatment, and education of patients in accordance with the physician orders.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
6-months experience preferred. Experience in EKG, and PFT preferred
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
– Current LRT, CRT, or RRT Credentials – BLS certification within 90 days of hire required – ACLS certification within 12 months of hire – Current Licensed to practice respiratory care in the state of Alabama
Equipment, Tools, Work Aids
Office machines (i.e., copier, fax, telephone), Computer terminal/personal computer, Hand tools, Power tools, Diagnostic equipment, Patient therapeutic equipment/machines (suction, percussors, etc.) and Ventilatory support devices.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Must demonstrate the ability to understand the unique needs of different age groups of patients treated.
