Security Guard (As Needed/PRN)

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the protection of the hospital, its assets, employees, patients, visitors, and other customers of the facility.

***PRN “as needed” opening with hours will vary according to the need in the department (no set schedule)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D. required

EXPERIENCE: ­ 1 year minimum military, civil police, or security required.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Certification: use of 5% O.C. Mace and CPR

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Communication radio, telephone, monitoring camera, and alarm system

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Pass Initial/Annual fitness test includes: heavy weight lifting (70#), run/walk, timed procedural competency test, and timed ability test. Pass Initial/Annual Basic Security Office Training Series (12 modules).­ Have knowledge of conflict resolution skills.
