What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exceptional Education Teacher- LBD Position-RCMS position at Russell County Middle School?
SUPERVISOR: Principal
QUALIFICATION:
- Must hold a valid Kentucky Teaching Certification in the area stated above.
- Have the ability to develop and implement the IEP for individual students.
- Willingness to work extensively with students presenting behavioral disorders/challenges.
- Must be willing and able to complete Safe Crisis Management Training.
- Must be willing to collaborate with regular classroom teachers.
- Have knowledge and ability to implement the new Kentucky Academic Standards: Reading/Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies.
- Must have knowledge of curriculum and best teaching strategies for improving student learning.
- Must be available to participate in PD training sessions in aligning curriculum both vertically/horizontally for all content areas.
- Must have knowledge/implementation of ARC meetings and Discipline Management Skills.
- Have the ability to develop a positive, professional relationship with students, teachers, administrators, and parents.
- Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities related to RCMS.
- Must successfully complete all required employment forms/applications.
- Render health services as necessary after appropriate training.
