The Russ Darrow Group is actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations supporting multiple dealership locations. This is a great opportunity for a strong leader who enjoys managing processes, developing a team, and ensuring accurate, timely payroll in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate brings proven payroll experience, leadership skills, and a high level of accuracy and accountability. This role is well suited for someone who thrives on meeting deadlines, solving problems, and supporting both employees and management with payroll-related needs.
Responsibilities
• Manage and lead a payroll team of 5 employees
• Oversee payroll processing for multiple dealership locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain employee earnings and deduction records within the payroll system
• Assist with audits, account reconciliations, and payroll-related reporting
• Research and respond to employee and manager questions regarding payroll and timekeeping
• Monitor payroll schedules, compliance requirements, and internal controls
• Support continuous process improvements within the payroll department

Qualifications
• Management experience leading a team of 3 or more employees
• 3–5 years of payroll experience
• Dealership experience helpful, but not required
• Experience with Paycom preferred, but not required
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
