The Russ Darrow Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Clerk to support accurate and timely payroll processing across our dealerships. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, enjoys working with numbers, and thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment.
Summary
As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for compiling, verifying, and processing payroll data while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. You will also serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll-related questions, helping to ensure a smooth and professional experience.
Responsibilities

Compile and process payroll data, including hours worked, commissions, bonuses, and deductions

Review timesheets and supporting records to ensure accuracy and completeness

Calculate wages, taxes, and deductions, ensuring all payroll entries are accurate

Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefits, and compensation changes

Review and reconcile payroll accounts and payroll-related general ledger accounts on a regular basis

Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for month-end and year-end closing activities

Process payroll in a timely manner, including preparing and issuing paychecks or direct deposits

Prepare payroll reports, including earnings, tax filings, and deduction summaries

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll regulations and policies

Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional, timely, and confidential manner

Maintain organized records and a clean, efficient work environment

Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data and reporting

Support additional administrative and payroll-related tasks as needed
