Hours - 1st shift- M-F 6:30am-3p and 2nd shift- M-TH 3:30pm-2am Supervisors rotate shifts every 6-9 months

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring that staff is performing efficiently, and maintaining high standards of production. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a solid understanding of:

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of customer orders.
  • Interprets specifications, drawings, and production orders to workers, and assign duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of workers.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Performs activities of workers supervised.
  • Conduct daily departmental meetings pertaining to safety, quality, etc.
  • Directly supervises numerous employees in the production plant. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/ or Experience

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing / production environment or supervisor role OR Associate degree and a minimum of six (6) years of experience working in a manufacturing / production environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike.
  • Computer skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft word and Microsoft excel.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
