Position Summary

Rusher Products is seeking a hands-on, dependable Warehouse Associate – Shipping & Production Support to support daily outbound order fulfillment. This role is primarily responsible for accurately picking, packing, and shipping customer orders through small parcel carriers such as UPS and FedEx, as well as preparing and coordinating LTL freight shipments.

This position may also assist in manufacturing operations, including running roll forming equipment, press brake, and shear equipment, as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-minded, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment.

Essential Functions

  • Pick, pack, label, and ship outbound customer orders accurately and on time
  • Prepare shipments for UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight carriers
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, packaging, shipment method, and shipping addresses before release
  • Build, band, wrap, and stage pallets for LTL pickup
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, labels, and bills of lading
  • Coordinate daily outbound shipments and communicate with carriers when issues arise
  • Organize, stage, and load finished orders for carrier pickup or customer pickup
  • Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records in company systems
  • Perform computer tasks required to track orders, shipments, and inventory activity
  • Report damaged, defective, or questionable materials and escalate shipment issues as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping area
  • Assist with inventory counts, stock checks, and reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Support receiving, unloading, or warehouse organization when needed
  • Assist manufacturing operations by safely operating or supporting roll forming, press brake, and shear equipment, after training
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to keep workflow moving efficiently
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1–2 years of warehouse, shipping, or order fulfillment experience preferred
  • Experience with small parcel shipping (UPS/FedEx) and LTL freight strongly preferred
  • Experience in an outbound shipping environment preferred
  • Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is a plus
  • Experience operating or assisting with equipment such as roll former, press brake, or shear is preferred, but training may be provided
  • Ability to use a computer to process orders, shipments, and inventory transactions
  • Ability to read and write in English, follow verbal and written instructions, and perform basic math accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record preferred

Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, move, and carry materials weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials throughout the shift
  • Ability to work on foot for 6 to 8 hours or more
  • Warehouse temperatures may vary based on seasonal and external weather conditions
  • Must be able to safely work around warehouse and manufacturing equipment

Additional Note

This position supports both warehouse fulfillment and light production activity. The primary focus is outbound shipping accuracy, speed, and quality, while also providing backup support to manufacturing operations as business needs require.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
