What You’ll Do
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
- Partner with terminal leadership to develop efficient and effective recruiting strategies
- Collaborate with the Safety Director to ensure compliance with DOT and insurance requirements
- Ensure recruiting practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Travel to Rush terminal locations to support local recruiting needs
- Generate and develop candidate leads through proactive sourcing efforts
- Partner with the Senior HR Generalist to meet recruiting goals and workforce needs
- Promote Rush’s employer brand through social media and digital recruiting channels
- Serve as a driver retention advocate and champion
Job Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for a variety of roles
- Marketing mindset—able to sell the company, the role, and the culture
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of employment laws, recruiting best practices, and compliance standards
- Proficiency with (or ability to quickly learn) applicant tracking systems and recruiting technology
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and online recruiting tools
- Ability to travel to all Rush terminal locations as needed
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of direct recruiting experience, or equivalent experience in HR, staffing, or talent acquisition support
- Experience managing all phases of the hiring process strongly preferred
- Understanding of candidate sourcing, salary negotiation, and qualification assessment
- Experience creating, improving, and implementing recruiting best practices
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as TenStreet is highly preferred, but not required
