Pay Range: $40.00 - $75.00 per hour

Summary:
Job Summary:
The Professor serves as a senior faculty member that provides leadership in education, research, and service. This individual is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, maintain an active and impactful research agenda, and serve as a mentor to junior faculty and students. Professors contribute significantly to the strategic direction of the department, college, and university through active participation in academic governance, curriculum development, and committee service. This position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
* Earned terminal degree (e.g., PhD or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to the health sciences or the faculty member’s area of teaching
* Demonstrated record of sustained excellence in teaching and curriculum development at the college or university level
* Established record of scholarly productivity and impact (e.g., peer‑reviewed publications, competitive grant funding, or nationally recognized scholarly work)
* Demonstrated ability to initiate, secure, and manage externally funded research or programmatic initiatives appropriate to the discipline
* Evidence of educational, scholarly, or professional leadership, including contributions to program development, research leadership, or professional practice
* Sustained experience mentoring junior faculty, students, or trainees
* Demonstrated engagement and leadership in college, university, or professional service
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
* Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive academic and learning environment
* Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Rush University Medical Center
