What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Interpreter position at RUSH Health?
Professionally trained and credentialed healthcare interpreters who meet Joint Commission requirements and provide consistency for internal language screening processes.
Provides interpreting services and the assurance of safety, quality, accuracy and confidentiality required in a healthcare setting.
In addition to language proficiency, medical interpreters must possess a set of skills and follow professional practice standards and a code of ethics.
Position Requirements:
Certificate in Medical Interpretation for Spanish preferred
Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Spanish
Must be able to have good critical thinking skills to resolve patient issues.
Strong customer relations skills
