Telecommunicator

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Taking detailed information over the phone and/or radio
• Entering information into CAD
• Taking 911 Medical Calls
• Talking to EMS crews via radio terminals
• Prioritizing calls from most emergent to least emergent

Assuring proper procedures and policies are followed

• Good communication skills
• Ability to type
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and programs
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work under pressure and high stress situations
• Good organizational skills
• The ability to balance multiple tasks
• The ability to sit for extended periods of timeAvailable to work a variety of shifts including holidays and weekends
• Reliable transportation
• Experience in Emergency Services is a plus but not required.
